Build-A-Luge For Your Halloween Party

Looking for a unique way to make your Halloween party stand out from everyone else’s? This is a main concern for most hosts, and it’s hard to find something different while still staying true to the theme of Halloween. Sure, bobbing for apples is fun, if you’re 8—so why not offer guests a more age appropriate activity with the Build-A-Luge ice luge. Here’s what you need for bone chilling shots: an illuminated ice luge kit from Build-A-Luge, and orange food coloring (or orange Hawaiian Punch).

Steps:
1.     Fill the ice block molds with water and orange food coloring
2.     Place the molds in any standard sized freezer
3.     On the day of your Halloween party, take the now frozen ice blocks out of the mold
4.     Place three ice blocks on Build-A-Luge trough & light them up!

The alcohol poured down the ice luge should be red, green, or dark in color (i.e. Jagar, Café Patron). Oh, and one more tip… if you predict the party will last longer than 3-4 hours, plan a few days in advance to make additional ice blocks and store them in your freezer. This gives you the ability to switch out ice blocks that have started melting. ENJOY!

  1. This is a great idea! I've recently purchased a Build-A-Luge ice luge and will be using orange food colored blocks for Halloween. Thanks for posting and please add more tips :-)
